RFM Properties and Holdings, Incorporated (RPHI) was launched in 1995, the preceding core of the company was anticipated to use the land assets of food and beverage conglomerate RFM corporation, its parent company.  The result of the strategy that they executed, transformed the corporate properties to residential, commercial and industrial developments that were either leased or sold to third parties.  In order for them to be sure that their first project would be successful, RPHI drew on the experience of Sta.  Lucia Realty and Development Corporation, a famous real estate developer, and admitted into a joint venture agreements with the company for the marketing and development of Glenwood Park and Ridgemont South, wherein both are situated in Calamba, Laguna.  Since their previous projects were successful, together with project management experience gained, RPHI plug to proceed with other projects in Calamba, such as Makiling Hills and Woodlands, which were established in the year 1997.

In the year 1997, RPHI was renamed into Philippine Townships, Incorporated (Philtown) to concentrate on industrial community developments.  Through this change, they began to focus the Manggahan developments which consist of Manggahan Village in Maggahan, Pasig City, a group of 5 residential condominium establishments, such as Manggahan Light Industrial Park, Manggahan Village Center and Manggahan Townhomes.  Moreover, in the municipalities of Santo Tomas and Tanauan, there were also new industrial community established.  The Batangas development handles three industrial parks, such as Light Industry and Science Park which has an area of 100 hectares, Plantacion del Sol Subdivision possessing 80 hectares, and Philtown Technology Park with 70 hectares.

In the long run of servicing Filipino customers, Philtown gained more experiences, competencies in project management and marketing were also improved. Philtown was encouraged to proceed on high-end projects such as Tagaytay Heights and One McKinley Place, a luxurious high-end 44-storey residential condominium situated in Fort Bonifacio.  Through the success of those high-end projects, Philtown developed another luxury residential condo, named Fairways Tower that was launched in the year 2003 and The Metropolitan in 2004.  The Metropolitan is unique in its class, provides not only high-end residential units but also offers the country’s leading sports club, the Metropolitan Club.  The Metropolitan also proposes Sky Lofts, which offers the magnificent view of Makati’s exciting skyline.

Through the years of existence, Philtown’s demands grow for developments that indulge to the urban dwellers, students, and young professionals.

In the year 2006, Philtown launched a 30-storey education inspired located beside De La Salle University, the 100% Wi-Fi enabled W.H. Taft Residences.  Developments were built not only conducive for urban living but also for work and study as well.  Along the end of 2007, Philtown launched a 25-storey Residential condominium project, named ASIANA-Quezon City located at the corner of Esteban Abada and Xavierville Avenue, which offers a high-quality construction and design that embodies the Luxury of Asian Living.

Through Philtown’s unstoppable success in both horizontal and vertical real estate projects, it became the preferred developer in the Philippines, acknowledge for its technical expertise and marketing savvy.  In terms of Philtown’s financial stability in the year 2006, it has a paid in capital base of P2.1 Billion, which makes Philtown as one of the largest real estate developers in the Country.
